These images reflect a longing for certain places: a craving to experience the vertical space of a canyon, the anticipation of reaching the saddle of a pass between two summits, the opening up of a forest to a clearing. I am drawn to the horizon and both the absence and possibility of what lies beyond. The images that are most compelling to me are those that are an invitation to go towards what is ambiguous and perhaps unknowable.
